Chili is done a little differently in the Foster household.

Ground turkey and a local favorite, Dearborn Smoked Kielbasa, go in Terry’s version of hobo chili, but you can use leftover steak or chicken.

1 pound ground turkey
1 pound smoked kielbasa
32 ounces kidney beans
28 ounces stewed tomatoes
15 ounces crushed tomatoes
2 red peppers chopped
10 3/4 ounce can tomato soup & 1 can water
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 tablespoon minced onion
4 bay leaves
2 packs of mild chili mix

Brown the meat and add it to the chopped peppers, tomatoes spices. Simmer in a slow cooker for 6 hours on low or 4 hours on high.
