Suspect Taken Into Custody Hours After Roseville Bank Robbery [PHOTOS]

ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - Hours after police issued a public plea for help identifying a bank robber, the suspect was taken into custody.

Police say the 29-year-old Mount Clemens man was taken into custody around 7 p.m. Tuesday in Detroit. At this time, it's unknown when he will be arraigned.

Police say the man walked into a Comerica Bank branch in the 27000 block of Gratiot in Roseville at 10:20 a.m. on Tuesday and passed a note to a teller demanding money.

The teller complied and the man left with an unknown amount of cash. No one was hurt and no weapon was seen or implied, police said. The suspect was last seen headed northbound from the scene and no vehicle was spotted. The area was searched by officers and K-9 but they didn't find anything.
