2 Students Caught With Handguns At Roseville High School

ROSEVILLE (WWJ) -- Police in Roseville are investigating after a 17-year-old high school student was detained by school staff for possession a handgun on Friday.

The weapon was discovered in the student's backpack.

During the investigation at Roseville High School, authorities discovered a second student with a gun. Police said it's not clear why the students brought the guns to school.

Authorities say they don't believe there was a threat to students or staff.

The students are in custody and the incident remains under investigation.
