SHELBY TWP. (WWJ) – Shelby Township police say that an investigation has begun after a human bone was discovered in a wooded area in Macomb County.

The discovery was made Saturday off Barberry Drive, in the area of 25 Mile and Dequindre roads in Shelby Township, by a man walking near a creek.

Neighbors say that police are going door to door asking if residents have seen anything or anyone suspicious.

Other circumstances weren’t immediately clear. The bone has been sent to the Macomb County Medical Examiner’s office as the investigation continues.
