Multiple shots were fired, said Shaw, and one of the men, who was struck in the ankle, was able to drive himself to a gas station where he sought help.

“The individual flagged down one of our patrol cars and told him that he had been shot,” Shaw told WWJ Newsradio 950’s Charlie Langton. “That individual was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”

Shaw added that the injured man has, thus far, been uncooperative with investigators — which leads them to believe this was likely not a random shooting.

There was no description available of the other shooter, who remained at large later Monday Police were interviewing witnesses as an investigation continues.
