ROMULUS (WWJ) – Two people were found dead Thursday in what appears to be a murder-suicide at an apartment in Romulus.

Police investigators are working to figure out what happened at the Barrington Apartments on Wayne Road.

“We are still in the early stages of the investigation,” said Romulus Police Captain Joshua Monte, “and all I can say right now without speculating anything is that we have a deceased male and female inside an apartment building and we are not actively searching for any suspects right now, at all.

Monte says the victims – who are in their 20’s – were discovered by a maintenance worker. He won’t say how they died.

“We’re still talking to maintenance … it’s early stages right now in the investigation,” says Monte.

Police are not releasing the victims’ identities, nor saying how they died.
