Newly Engaged Justin Verlander And His Rides
He put a ring on it.
Swimsuit supermodel Kate Upton revealed a sparkler on her ring finger at the Met Gala that had chins wagging from Detroit to New York City. She and Tigers ace Justin Verlander are officially engaged.
Upton said it happened before the start of the season, but they kept it quiet until she unleashed the ice rink on her hand to the cameras.
Diamonds aren't the only thing Verlander splurges on.
He sported around the Woodward Dream Cruise last year in a flame orange Lamborghini worth an estimated $381,00, with Upton in the passenger seat.
That's only one of the only flashy ride in his collection.
He drove a canary yellow Ferrari and a white Mercedes-Benz to training camp in 2014. He keeps a Range Rover for day-to-day drives.
Verlander told MLB.com he owns so many luxury cars he can't fit them in his eight-car garage in Virginia.
Verlander told MLB.com even more about his car obsession, saying he picked it up from his dad.
"Richard Verlander didn't have the money to drive anything like that when Justin was growing up, but he had enough to drive something sporty..." MLB reported.
"When I was in high school, he had like a used '94 Corvette, and he let me drive it to school every now and again," Verlander told the website.
On the other days, he was reduced to driving a Ford Taurus.
But those days are over.
In addition to foreign luxury cars, Verlander also has a hankering for American muscle.
No word on whether he landed one of these Ford beauties. But we do know now officially about the beauty he did land.
