ROMEO (WWJ) – A 55-year-old Romeo man is behind bars after authorities say he tried to meet an underage boy for sex.
Charles Edgar Keller was arrested at an pre-arranged meeting place the afternoon of Thursday, June 30, after he corresponded with undercover Macomb County Sheriff’s officials online.

According to the Macomb Area Computer Enforcement team (M.A.C.E.), Keller had posted an ad on a popular website and over a two-day period, sent graphic messages and photographs to a detective in an effort to arrange a sexual liaison with whom he thought was a male child.
READ MORE: Woodward Dream Cruise Kicks Off This Weekend: What To KnowThe day following his arrest, Keller was arraigned via video in the 42-1 District Court of Romeo on four counts of child sexually abusive activity, a 20-year felony, and one count of using a computer to commit a crime.
The green Mini Cooper that he was driving was impounded.
