Pokémon Go In The Cultural Center? Get Ready To Post Your Best Catches

DETROIT  - Attention all aspiring Pokémon masters! Here's your chance to meet up with fellow Pokémon Go enthusiasts in Detroit's Cultural Center Friday to hunt for Pokémon during a day-long event.

According to a post from the Detroit Historical Museum's Facebook page - people are encouraged to explore Cultural Center institutions both inside, during hours of operation, and outside. Participating organizations include the Detroit Institute of Arts, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Detroit Historical Museum, Detroit Public Library, Michigan Science Center, The Scarab Club and Wayne State University.

There are many Pokémon, PokéStops and Gyms in the area. The Michigan Science Center will keep lures activated all day on the three Pokéstops located on-site and offer presentations explaining the science behind Pokémon, including metamorphasis and animal behavior, at the Apollo trainer Pokéstop.

Post your best catches using the hashtag #CatchEmDET.

Be aware of your surroundings while playing - trespassing is still trespassing regardless of the game or pursuit.
