Plans call for a release from either a bridge tower or anchor pier, depending on wind and other factors.
The eagle came into Wings of Wonder’s care in August, when founder and Director Rebecca Lessard received a call from a concerned person in Manistee County who spotted him sitting on a fence post at a horse ranch.
Lessard says the weakened eagle was in an intensive care clinic for 48 hours and may have been suffering from the effects of West Nile virus.
