Homeless Pedestrian Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver Along Telegraph Road

PONTIAC (WWJ) - A $1,000 cash reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a driver who fled the scene after striking and killing a homeless man who was trying to cross the road.

The accident happened around 7:10 p.m. Friday on northbound Telegraph Road near Menoninee Street, just south of West Huron Street in Pontiac.

According to police, a 53-year-old homeless man was attempting to cross Telegraph when he was struck by a vehicle in the left lane. The driver did not stop after the collision and fled the scene.
