The store was founded in 2012 by Victoria Roby, a graduate of Wayne State University, who calls Natural Market "the African-American version of Bath & Body Works." Roby mixes together ingredients such as shea butter, peppermint oil, beeswax and vitamin E for her handmade bath soaks and lip balms.

Bizzy Fizz Bath Treats

Utica, MI 48318

Bizzy Fizz was established in 2005, and the idea for the store was thought up by the owner's son, Skylar, in 2004 - he created a "bath fizzy" for a school science project. He and his mother, Laura, started making the fizzies and giving them away as gifts, and soon Bizzy Fizz Bath Treats was born. The store sells handmade bath and body products for a spa day at home, and you can buy the company's products either in-store or on the website. Bizzy Fizz has more than just bath fizzies. It also carries gift sets, "treats for tots" and spa products for men.

Catching Fireflies

3117 W. 12 Mile Road
Berkley, MI 48072
(248) 336-2030
www.catchingfireflies.com

Catching Fireflies has three locations - the Berkley one listed above, Rochester (203 E. University) and Ann Arbor (419 Detroit St., in Kerrytown). It's known for being a go-to place for gifts, but it has a surprisingly large assortment of bath and body products that would be great for pampering. Its aromatherapy shea butter soap and aromatherapy shower burst can be bought in the stores or on the website, and it also carries items such as bath fizzes and votive candles. Its Berkley location is closest to Detroit, but Rochester and Ann Arbor are in the metro area as well.
