Little Ceasars Bowl Sets Big Ten, MAC Deal Through 2013
The Little Caesars Pizza Bowl reached a deal that will put Big Ten and Mid-American Conference teams against each other for the next four years, ending with the 2013 game at Ford Field.
The deal will put the No. 8 bowl-eligible Big Ten team against the No. 1 or No. 2 MAC team. The Little Caesars Pizza Bowl will have first pick of a MAC team in 2010 and 2012 and the second pick the other two years.
If the Big Ten doesn't have eight bowl-eligible teams, the Little Caesars bowl will get a Sun Belt team.
Purdue was the last Big Ten team to play in the December bowl game at Ford Field in 2007, defeating Central Michigan 51-48.
