Pottery Barn Kids Recalls Cribs
Thousands of drop-side cribs from popular retailer Pottery Barn Kids are being recalled over safety concerns.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the 82,000 cribs on recall could pose a suffocation or entrapment risk to young children if the drop-side rail on the crib detaches because of faulty hardware.
The recall involves all Pottery Barn Kids drop-side cribs regardless of model number. CPSC says there have been 36 reports of drop-side rails that have malfunctioned or detached.
Seven children sustained minor injuries when they fell out of the cribs or got their legs caught between the mattress and side rail.
CPSC urges parents to immediately stop using the cribs. Pottery Barn Kids is offering free kits to immobilize the drop-side rail.
