Caraco Markets Generic Flomax

Detroit-based Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories Ltd. (NYSE Amex: CPD) said Thursday that it had started shipping tamsulosin hydrochloride capsules.

This product was recently approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration from an Abbreviated New Drug Application from Caraco parent Sun Pharma.

These tamsulosin hydrochloride capsules are therapeutically equivalent to Flomax Capsules 0.4 mg from Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc. Tamsulosin hydrochloride capsules are indicated for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of benign prostate growth.
