Keep Kids Cool This Summer

The summer heat should get you thinking about keeping kids hydrated outside.

With temperatures above 90 degrees, kids will need plenty of liquids (water is best), sunscreen, and time in the shade to keep cool. An evening visit to a neighborhood pool can help kids cool down before bed, or a cool bath or shower can help kids sleep better as well.

Snacks such as cold watermelon can give kids some extra liquids and popsicles frozen from kids favorite beverages can also help them get enough liquid during the day. If all else fails, find some squirt guns to help the family cool off.
