Jackson Lighting Firm Wins American Made Award: EverLast Induction Lighting has been named one of 2010's True American Hero Companies by www.AmericanMadeHeroes.com. The creator of American Made Heroes, Mike Tamulis, made this decision after researching how EverLast induction fixtures are produced. A video on the company's Web site shows how EverLast manufactures its cobra head and shoe box fixtures in Jackson, formerly a primarily automotive manufacturing area. By manufacturing the new EverLast Induction Cobra Head and Shoe Box fixtures in the U.S., EverLast supports jobs with 10 additional U.S. manufacturers, many of which had been suppliers for automotive companies before the crash of the industry. Eight reprogrammed and fully-automated robots are used to produce one EverLast induction light fixture every 30 seconds. Each fixture body is composed of 80 percent recycled polycarbonate resin, also making the EverLast U.S. Cobra Head and Shoe Box fixtures two of the most environmentally conscious fixtures on the market. Entrepreneur Mike Tamulis started his AMH program earlier this year after becoming aware of the many challenges that domestic manufacturing companies face when competing against foreign imports. Tamulis created AmericanMadeHeroes.com as an internet platform that recognizes, honors, and applauds those companies that continue to manufacture their products in the United States, even when their competitors frequently chose to close their domestic manufacturing, fire their American employees and outsource. AMH presents content to help educate Americans on current issues and events that affect U.S. laborers and manufacturers. AmericanMadeHeroes.com recognizes a variety of industry leaders, ranging from the popular clothing brand, American Apparel, to the all-American motorcycle manufacturer, Harley Davidson. The aforementioned companies are true American Made Heroes.  EverLast Induction Lighting is a subsidiary of Full Spectrum Solutions Inc.Notable EverLast Lighting clients include NASA, the University of California, Fort Drum Army Base, Harley Davidson and Yuengling Brewery. BtoB honors Oneupweb's Wehr for seventh straight year: BtoB Magazine has named Lisa Wehr, founder and CEO of the Traverse City marketing communications firm Oneupweb, as a B-to-B Who's Who in search marketing for the seventh year in a row. The BtoB judges have recognized Wehr's innovation and achievements for 2010; two B2B Awards of Excellence from the Business Marketing Association and Best in Show honors at the BMA Tower Awards. But according to Wehr something else accounts for making her a major "who" in the marketing world. "Being featured in B-to-B Who's Who for the seventh time is amazing," Wehr said. "And I wouldn't have received this honor without my determined staff who keep Oneupweb thriving year-after-year. They're really the ones who are behind the B-to-B Who's Who." The B-to-B Who's Who is an annual salute that honors key thought leaders, movers and shakers across a broad spectrum of the marketing industry. This year's list recognizes top business-to-business marketing executives in nine categories. Wehr is the only woman to receive a 2010 B-to-B Who's Who for search marketing -- another element that sets the innovative digital marketing agency apart from competitors. And it's paying off. Oneupweb has welcomed several new clients this year and continues to retain several national accounts. More at www.oneupweb.com.
