Compuware Gomez Top Web Performance Monitor To Top 500 Web Retailers -- Again

Gomez, the Web performance division of Detroit-based Compuware Corp. (Nasdaq: CPWR), has been cited as the No. 1 provider of Web performance monitoring to the largest online retailers in the United States for the fourth consecutive year according to Internet Retailer magazine.

In the August 2010 issue of Internet Retailer, 117 of the Top 500 online retailers use Gomez's Web performance monitoring systems. Gomez is the only Web performance monitoring solution with three customers in the top five of the Top 500; they are Amazon.com Inc. (No. 1), Dell Inc. (No. 3) and Apple Inc. (No. 4).

Since 2007, according to Gomez, the company has experienced the fastest adoption of any Web performance monitoring system by the Top 500 online retailers with a 134 percent growth rate. Gomez has more customers in the Top 500 online retailers than the No. 2 through 6 Web performance monitoring vendors combined, who together serve only 106 online retailers. The No. 2 vendor is used by only 40 of the Top 500 online retailers.

Gomez helps online retailers optimize the performance and availability of their e-commerce Web and mobile applications to provide fast and successful online shopping experiences. By testing and measuring Web and mobile applications from their customers' perspective using Gomez's Global Performance Network, retailers can rapidly identify and resolve revenue and brand-impacting performance issues.

"One of the reasons online retailers earn the right to be in the Internet Retailer Top 500 is that they make web and mobile performance a top priority and provide an outstanding experience to their customers," said Eric Schurr, Gomez's senior vice president of marketing. "Gomez is honored to have been selected for the fourth consecutive year by more leading online retailers as their provider of web performance management solutions than any other vendor."

The on-demand Gomez platform integrates systems for Web load testing, Web performance management, Web cross-browser testing, and Web performance business analysis that test and measure Web and mobile applications from the "outside-in" – across all users, browsers, devices, and geographies – using a global network of more than 150,000 locations. When combined with Compuware Vantage, Gomez offers the industry's only system for optimizing application performance across the enterprise and the Internet. More than 3,000 customers worldwide, ranging from small companies to large enterprises -- including 12 of the top 20 most visited U.S. Web sites -- use Gomez to increase revenue, build brand loyalty and decrease costs.
