Teens Arrested In Assault Of 90-Year Old

Two Detroit teens have been charged in the home invasion, beating and sexual assault of a 90-year-old Detroit woman earlier this month.

Wayne County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Maria Miller says 17-year-old Maurice Randall and 18-year-old Anthony Hardy face charges including first-degree home invasion and first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

She says in an e-mail that they will be arraigned Saturday in Detroit.

Miller says a relative found the woman about 1 p.m. Aug. 13. She says the teens also are being charged in a home invasion that happened the day before.

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has released a statement noting that rape is a crime committed against women of all ages. She says, ``Rapists are criminals who will rape anyone.''
