Comcast Offers Special Deals For College Students

Comcast Corp. has unveiled a "Fall Rush" special service offer to students of the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Eastern Michigan University and Adrian College living off campus.

The offer includes special student packages for video and high-speed Internet service, including a Digital Starter Video Package including movie channels, high-definition channels and an HD digital video recorder that allows busy students to time-shift their favorite programming. Also included are the movie channels HBO and Showtime.

Comcast also introduced a new iPhone application that allows access to Comcast.net e-mail and Comcast Digital Voice voice mail, access and control of a Comcast DVR and Comcast OnDemand highlights.

Comcast also announced student events at the University of Michigan. Comcast will provide various interactive opportunities at four locations at or near the UM Ann Arbor campus frmo 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The locaitons are the Michigan Union (530 S. State St.), Pizza House (618 Church St.), Hill Auditorium (825 N. University) and the Blind Pig (208 S. First St.).

Comcast's Michigan Region serves more than one million customers statewide and employs approximately 4,000 people. Comcast has three major call centers in the state and houses its Michigan Region headquarters in Southfield.
