Police Investigate Found Body Parts As Homicide

Authorities have released the name of man whose body parts were found strewn about in a neighborhood on Detroit's east side. Wayne County spokesman Dennis Niemiec said Thursday that the torso, arms and legs belonged to 61-year-old David Morgan of Detroit.

Morgan's death is being treated as a homicide. The county medical examiner has yet to determine how he died.

Two legs and an arm were found Monday morning in a field a few miles outside downtown after police received a 911 call from someone in the neighborhood. A torso was found wrapped in a blanket later in the day.

Officials used fingerprints to determine Morgan's identity.
