Farmington Hills police are asking parents to talk with their children about strangers after an eight-year old girl was approached by a man in a pickup truck.
Police say the child ran away from the man who told her to get into his truck around 6 p.m. Friday near Middlebelt between Nine and Ten Mile roads.
The suspect is described as a black male, between 25 and 35 years of age with short hair. He was driving a white pickup truck with an open bed and silver push-type front bumper and step bars. The truck was towing a small trailer.
Anyone with information is asked to call Farmington Hills Police at 248-871-2610.
