2 In Custody After Carjacking Spree

Detroit police say two men went on a carjacking spree early Friday morning and ended after a crash during a chase.  WWJ's Vickie Thomas reports the suspects carjacked one car and then used that car to steal another car at gunpoint.

Officers used OnStar to find a Buick that was stolen.

An ensuing police chase ended at McNichols and Dequindre where one of the cars spun out, hit a building and light pole.  Witnesses said one of the stolen cars was going as much as 70 to 80 miles per hour.

One person was thrown from the car and taken to a hospital.

Both suspects are in custody.  Charges are pending.
