Flu Vaccine Clinics: Fall 2010
Flu season is upon us, and Metro Detroit has many options for walk-in flu-shots – though with online appointments, reserving a time slot is simple too.
Wayne County Department of Public Health is sponsoring a County-wide Mass Walk-in Flu Clinic on Sunday, October 24th, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Schoolcraft College (Physical Education Building-Gymnasium), 18600 Haggerty Road, Livonia, MI 48152. Get vaccinated for $15 (cash only, Medicaid accepted) Call 734-727-7000 or visit the site for more information.

In Oakland County, you can stop by one of three Oakland County Health Division offices:
- Pontiac: 1200 N. Telegraph Rd., in the Oakland County Complex, Bldg. 34 East
- Walled Lake: 1010 E. West Maple Rd. at Pontiac Trail
- Southfield: 27725 Greenfield Rd at Catalpa
Shots are $11, pre-register or walk-in (Hours: Monday: noon-8pm and Tuesday-Friday: 8:30am-5pm.)

Washtenaw County is holding several vaccination events where flu shots are $20, flu mists are $25:
- Wednesday, 10/20 from 9-11 a.m. at the Washtenaw Co. Public Health (555 Towner St, Ypsilanti), ages 6 months and up, pre-register here (734) 544-6700
- Thursday, 10/21 from 5-7 p.m. at the Jarvis-Stone School (7991 North Territorial Rd, Plymouth), ages 6 months and up, walk-in only
- Saturday 10/30 9am-3pm at the Huron Valley Ambulance (1200 State Circle, Ann Arbor), ages 18+, drive-through clinic

The Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Michigan is offering public flu vaccines with triple protection of the H1N1 virus and two other viruses in many Metro Detroit locations throughout the fall.
Flu Shots are $25, FluMist Sprays are $30, and Pneumonia Shots are $50. Pay with cash or check, (VNA accepts these providers Blue Care Network, Medicare, HAP, Health Plus of Michigan, and Priority Health)

The Livonia Kmart (33400 W. 7 Mile Rd, Livonia) is hosting a Flu Immunization Clinic on Thursday 10/28 from 9am-1pm. There is no charge to Medicare Part B eligible patients. The cost is $25 for all other patients for regular dose influenza. We will also offer the new high-dose flu vaccine for $45. Fluzone HD (high-dose) is indicated for patients over age 65 and is covered by Medicare.
