Voters are about to learn which candidates are in the best shape heading into the final week before the Nov. 2 election.
Pre-election campaign finance reports are due by the end of the day Friday. They’ll show spending through last Sunday.
Candidates last filed campaign reports in early September.
Republican gubernatorial candidate Rick Snyder’s campaign says it will show it has $2 million on hand.
Snyder hasn’t said how much of his own money he’s given the campaign, but he donated $6.1 million before the Aug. 3 primary.
Democratic candidate Virg Bernero hasn’t said yet how much money he has raised.
Both men have been running campaign ads. The Michigan Democratic State Central Committee began running a new ad on Thursday backing Bernero.
