SoulTracks Readers Choice Awards Voting Begins

Readers of Detroit-based SoulTracks (www.soultracks.com), America's most popular soul music Web site, have begun voting for this year's SoulTracks Readers' Choice Awards, the largest international awards dedicated to independent soul music.

SoulTracks readers will have the ability to vote for this year's award winners in seven categories between now and Nov. 7 by visiting www.soultracks.com/2010-awards-finalists.

The SoulTracks Awards have become an annual highlight of the independent soul music movement, spotlighting some of the brightest up-and-coming musical stars. This year's Awards show will be broadcast on a network of independent radio stations around the world on Tuesday, Dec. 7 and will be hosted again by Atlanta media personality Jodine Dorce.

"Each year we have been proud to honor some of the most talented artists in the world, and to spotlight all that is going on in the renewed world of soul music," said SoulTracks publisher Chris Rizik. "Last year was our first year broadcasting the Awards show, and the response was tremendous.  Interest in the Awards is even higher this year and we're looking forward to putting on an even bigger show."

As part of this year's show, a special Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to one of the greatest soul groups of all time, the Commodores.
