Michigan’s University Research Corridor partners are showcasing innovation, business and research news through a new monthly e-publication, ResearchCorridor.com.
The URC universities, Michigan State University, the University of Michigan and Wayne State University, formed the URC in 2006 to transform, diversify and strengthen the state’s economy. ReseachCorridor.com highlights the progress and opportunities available through URC universities.
“Our mission is to unlock the value of the universities’ intellectual assets to contribute to the state’s prosperity and highlight the researchers, entrepreneurs and thought leaders engaged in making Michigan a top 10 state for economic growth,” said URC Executive Director Jeff Mason.
The November issue includes:
* Coverage of the URC-sponsored World Stem Cell Summit held in Detroit.
* News from the URC’s recent cerebral palsy symposium, held in East Lansing, the second in a series of symposiums on topics offering promising opportunities for research collaboration.
* An interview with Doug Rothwell, president and CEO of Business Leaders for Michigan, a partner in the new Accelerate Michigan alliance between BLM and the URC, geared toward aligning commerce with academia.
