Churches, Others Helping Voters

Some local churches and organizations are offering free rides and help to voters headed to polling locations.

Welcome Missionary Baptist Church in Pontiac has teamed up with other churches and organizations to provide volunteer drivers to residents who want to vote but are without transportation.

The rides are limited to polling places in Pontiac and run from 7am to 7pm. For more information, call 248-335-8740.

The Detroit Branch NAACP has its “Take Your Soles to the Polls” campaign running until 8 p.m.
