Healthy Danny Cleary On Roll For The Wings
By whatever name you call him these days, Danny Cleary is enjoying a great start to the season.
Yes, Danny Cleary. Or Dan Cleary. Or Daniel Cleary, which is what the occasional Canadian reporter will call him.
It was Daniel when Cleary entered the NHL in 1997 (he doesn't exactly know why), but became Dan in 2005 when joining the Wings.
Now, the league's Web site refers to him as "Danny."
"I like Danny or Daniel," Cleary said on the Wings' recent trip in Canada, though he admits it's not a big deal.
