Math Around The World

What can you do to help your child develop his or her math skills? A new study from Eduventures shows that parents in countries with higher math scores than the United States spend more time getting their child involved in out of school activities for math.

More kids in Singapore, for instance, have an out of school math tutor, are involved in math contests, go to math-themed summer camps, and compete in robotics. Parents also report asking for help from schools for math exams, and doing worksheets at home to help students prepare for exams.
