DTE Energy Declares Dividend, Sets Annual Meeting Date

The board of directors of the Detroit utility holding company DTE Energy thursday declared a dividend of 56 cents pershare of common stock.

The dividend is payable Jan. 15 to shareholders of record at the close of business Dec. 27.

The company also announced that its 2011 Annual Meeting of Common Stock Shareholders will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 5.

Shareholders of record at the close of business March 8 are eligible to vote at the meeting. Shareholders interested in proposing business from the floor or nominating a person for the position of director from the floor must give notice and certain information to the DTE Energy corporate secretary between Feb. 4 and March 6.

DTE Energy's operating units include Detroit Edison, an electric utility serving 2.1 million customers in Southeastern Michigan, MichCon, a natural gas utility serving 1.2 million customers in Michigan and other non-utility, energy businesses focused on gas storage and pipelines, unconventional gas production, power and industrial projects, and energy trading.
