Delta Issues Weather Waiver For Northeast

Delta Airlines is issuing a weather waiver for travelers to the East Coast Friday and Saturday, with several inches of snow in the forecast.

Delta stops in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut are affected.  Passengers will have the ability to make one-time changes to their travel schedules without fees.

The airline encourages customers to consider postponing or re-routing their trips.  The weather waiver is in effect for today and tomorrow.

According to Accuweather, the newly formed snow zone will eventually spread from Atlantic City, N.J., to Boston and Cape Cod Saturday into Saturday night, grazing New York City and Philadelphia in the process.

And Accuweather says the Northeast should then brace for another cross-country snowstorm early next week.
