A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon Tuesday for several counties, including:

As a result of freezing rain overnight, icy road conditions have led to a number of school closings and delays.

Here’s the forecast:

Tuesday – Cloudy. Rain and snow with areas of fog. Accumulations up to a half inch. Highs 34 to 38. South winds 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable.

Tuesday Night – Mostly cloudy. A chance of light snow showers. Lows 13 to 17. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow, 30 percent.

Wednesday – Few snow showers, High 21. Low 13. Chance of snow, 30 percent.

Thursday – Snow shower, High 22. Low 12.

Friday – Partly cloudy, High 15. Low 8.
