Detroit Economic Club Hosts Big '4' Leaders

DETROIT (WWJ) As Michigan's new administration restructures its economy and government with a goal of jobs, balanced budgets and strategic growth, many wonder what the impact will be on the Metro Detroit Region.

The 'Big Four' will discuss this and many other key issues live inside the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in conjunction with the Detroit Economic Club (DEC), Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the Cobo Center.

The engagement marks the first time the four regions leaders will be together. Newly elected Macomb County Mark Hackel joins Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, Detroit Mayor Dave Bing and Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano in a sure-to-be-lively discussion.

Attendees will be given access to the auto show at the conclusion of the DEC meeting.

Moderated by Carol Cain, WWJ-TV Sr. Producer &  Host of Michigan Matters and Detroit Free Press columnist.

"The New Big Four and a New Michigan" will be broadcast on Saturday, January 29, at 11 a.m. on WWJ 'TV's "Michigan Matters."
