If you didn’t get a chance to see your favorite Detroit Tigers’ players during the Winter Caravan on Thursday or Friday, today provides a perfect opportunity to get up-close-and-personal with the team. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., TigerFest will be in full-swing at Comerica Park. Fans can get autographs, spend time with their kids in the Fun Zone, tour the park, and get ready for the 2011 season.
Even though the weather can best be described as “frigid”, TigerFest provides a bit of warmth on this cold, cold day: spring training is just around the corner. Pitchers and catchers report to the Tigers’ training facility in Lakeland, Florida on February 13th. TigerFest also will give fans their first potential looks at off-season acquisitions Victor Martinez, Joaquin Benoit, and Brad Penny.
Don’t forget, Pat Caputo will be broadcasting live from 11a.m.-2p.m., and The Ticket Street Team will be in the park, too.
