8-Year-Old Dies In Sledding Accident

TEXAS TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - An eight-year-old boy from Rochester Hills has died after being run over by a truck while sledding at his family's cottage in Kalamazoo County.

The sheriff's department says the boy was on a saucer style sled in the front yard of the cottage when he slid into the path of a pickup truck Monday morning. The driver says he never saw the boy and authorities say the driver wasn't at fault.
