Snyder To Present Budget Plan For State
DETROIT (WWJ) Gov. Rick Snyder says he'll put out his budget plan on February 17.
It's the first time he announced the date.
Snyder told the Business Leaders for Michigan summit that his ideas for revamping the state's spending plan will be evident when the proposal is released.
Interest has been mounting over how the new Republican governor will deal with a $1.8 billion shortfall in the spending plan that starts October 1.
Snyder is calling on the Legislature to have a two-year budget plan in place before June 1, 2011.
