Black History Month: WWJ Honors Educators
DETROIT (WWJ) - Celebrating Black History Month, WWJ Newsradio 950 is recognizing local African American educators helping to make our future bright in Metro Detroit.
Everywhere he goes, things change for the better, reports WWJ's Stephanie Davis. Principal Steven McGhee, a Detroit Public school product whose father was an educator and mother was a hospital patient advocate, says he was prepped from childhood to teach.
McGhee has transformed the old Central High to Central Collegiate Academy, where part of the focus is now project-based learning.
