Weather, World Events Make For Long Lines At The Pumps

DETROIT (WWJ) - The threat of another major storm system moving in the metro Detroit area combined with unrest in the Middle East have created long lines at the gas pumps.

David, a WWJ listener, noted the long lines for gas at the discount supply store Costco Thursday evening.

AccuWeather forecast is predicting total snowfall accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are expected over a short duration.

Although oil prices dropped for the first time in nine days, the rush to the pumps seem to contradict the reality of  gas prices lowering.

James Cordier of OptionSellers.com says too much fear had been priced into oil.

Cordier says fear over disruptions in Libya or elsewhere in the Middle East appear to be overblown.
