YPSILANTI (WWJ) - One man is dead and two wounded after a shooting early Saturday morning in Ypsilanti Township. A call came in at about 3:30 a.m. of shots fired at a house on Mary Catherine & Nash.

Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office director of community engagement, Derrick Jackson, is on the scene, saying they don’t know what led to the shooting.

“There was some form of an altercation & someone began shooting and there were three victims. Uh, one was pronounced deceased and there are, there were two other gunshot victims.”

The two wounded are being treated at an area hospital and are expected to be okay.  Jackson says anyone with information on this shooting should call the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office or Crimestoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
