Heart Attack Caused Motorist Crash And Death

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit say a medical emergency may be to blame for the death of a driver in Detroit during the afternoon rush hour. 

Detroit police say the man in his 50's suffered a heart attack behind the wheel of his car near the Michigan State Fairgrounds on Woodward Avenue. 

His car crashed into a pole.  Bus service at the fairgrounds was called to a halt for over an hour due to the crash.

Police are not releasing the name of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
