Three reasons Miguel Cabrera's issues may run even deeper than I originally suspected:
1. It involves more than just a drinking problem, but a tendency to threaten people violently with a gun, which he allegedly has done twice, according to reports.
2. The perception that Cabrera is just a smiling, jovial "big kid" is proving not to be true. He is coming across in these incidents as the ultimate example of a pampered athlete with a, "Do you know who I am?" attitude.
3. He still has not admitted publicly he has a drinking problem.
