Google's National Blog Features Macomb County

Macomb County is getting national attention as Chief Judge Mark Switalski and Clerk-Register of Deeds Carmella Sabaugh are featured in the Official Google Enterprise Blog.

The blog leads with a photo of downtown Mount Clemens and showcases the county's 31-miles of Lake St. Clair shoreline, work force training provided by Macomb County Community College, three regional hospitals, nearly 100 miles of hiking and biking trails, waterways holding 52,000 registered boats, and quick access to two international airports and two international bridges to neighboring Canada.

"The Macomb County court and clerk are proving themselves to be a place where innovation grows," said Scott McIntyre, director of state and local Government for Google. "We are honored to be a part of Macomb County's future."

"If somewhere in the world a person reads Google's blog and concludes Macomb County is a great place to do business that would be wonderful," said Macomb County Clerk / Register of Deeds Carmella Sabaugh.

The blog also highlights Switalski's and Sabaugh's decision to improve service and control technology costs by "going Google" and switching to Google Apps for Government. It links to short videos showing how cloud computing services are used by the county. Instead of spending time and computer hardware and software, the Chief Judge and Clerk can better focus on administering justice.
