DETROIT (WWJ) – Police are investigating an argument between a landlord and a tenant that included an AK-47.

It happened Wednesday night on Alexandrine near the Wayne State University campus. According to reports from WXYZ-TV, the woman who was renting the apartment got into a heated argument with the landlord. She then called a cab for herself and her two teenage sons, but as they got into the cab the landlord opened fire with the assault rifle.

The teens were each struck in the leg. They are hospitalized in temporary serious condition. Police found the gun nearby, but the landlord was nowhere to be found.
