Ann Arbor Chamber Hires Two Marketing Staff: The Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti Regional Chamber last week the hiring of a new vice president of marketing and new programs, as well as the hiring of a new marketing coordinator. In the coordinator's position is Rebecca Woodward. As marketing coordinator, Woodward will be responsible for the Chamber's social media marketing, Web site content, e-newsletters, and publication design. She will also assist with chamber events and spearhead the development of a Young Professionals organization to help the chamber better meet the needs of members at the start of their professional careers. Woodward earned her Bachelor's degree in literature and geography from Eastern Michigan University, where she worked at the Eastern Echo. She has also worked in media relations at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, and most recently as a marketing assistant at the Kensington Court Ann Arbor. The new vice president is Andrew LaBarre, who joins the chamber after having served in numerous positions in the office of Rep. John Dingell, D-Dearborn. He has served as Dingell's personal assistant, legislative correspondent, campaign manager, field representative and district administrator since 2005.  Previous experience includes work as Press Assistant for U.S. Senator Carl Levin, D-Mich. and an intern in the office of then-Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Menominee).  LaBarre has also proven to be active in his community involvement with the Depot Town Community Development Corporation Advisory Board, 15th Congressional Democratic District Organization, and the Washtenaw County Democratic Party. LaBarre is a graduate of Wittenberg University with a bachelor's degree in political science and religion. He is also currently pursuing a Master's in Public Administration at Eastern Michigan University.
