Tony Ortiz: Hoke Finalizes Deal
DETROIT (WWJ) - The contract for Michigan head football coach Brady Hoke has been finalized, and he stands to be well paid in his first year with the Wolverines.
Hoke signed a six-year deal with the school, which will pay him $2 million dollars in the first year of the contract.
That would make him the fourth highest paid head coach in the Big Ten, behind Ohio State's Jim Tressel, Iowa's Kirk Ferentz and Nebraska's Bo Pelini.
That's a nice bump in pay for Hoke, who earned just $700,000 last season at San Diego State. Just in case you were curious, Rich Rodriguez earned $2.5 million dollars in his final season at Michigan as head coach.
