Chesterfield Township police are investigating an apparent accident in which a 36-year old woman was killed.

Police say they received a frantic 911 call early Saturday morning about a woman pinned between two vehicles at Sugarbush and Cotton Roads.  The caller said he stopped to help the woman who drove her car into a ditch.  While trying to tow her car out, the man’s vehicle slid into the ditch pinning the woman between the two cars.

Officers and firefighters were able to free the woman, but she died at the scene.

The woman is from Macomb Township.  Police were notifying her family and relatives.

Investigators are trying to determine if drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
