Richmond Man Dies In Crash

RICHMOND TWP. (WWJ) - A 20-year-old Richmond man was killed over the weekend in traffic crash in Macomb County. 

Macomb County Sheriff's Captain Elizabeth Darga told WWJ Steven Heinz was driving along Armada Ridge Road near Welding Road in Richmond Township around 4 p.m. Saturday.

Captain Darga said Heinz was attempting to pass another vehicle when he lost control, went off the roadway and struck a tree.

Witnesses said Heinz appeared to be speeding. He was not believed to have been drinking before the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
