Science Fairs Go High-Tech

Posting an online video has replaced the display backboard in the cafeteria.

In the Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge, students have the opportunity to create an engaging one- to two-minute science video that explains a problem and how it impacts them, their family, their community or the globe. They then describe a new innovation or solution that could solve or impact the problem and the science, technology, engineering and mathematics behind their innovation.

Kids from 5th to 8th grade are eligible to compete for the $25,000 prize, which includes a free trip.
