Eastern Market's Artisan Village Now Open

DETROIT (WWJ) - Beginning this Saturday April 16 and continuing until the end of the year, an assortment of talented artisans and crafters will gather at the Eastern Market's Artisan Village to sell their unique handmade crafts and one-of-a-kind creations. 

Shoppers will find everything from the unusual to the unique sure to fit every taste and budget. Artisan will feature beautiful handmade jewelry, purses, candles, garden art, lovely lotions, Shea butter, ceramics, baskets and so much more. 

Artisan Village is located in front of Shed 5 on Russell between Wilkins and Alfred. The village is open every Saturday from 7 am until 4 pm.

Get your shopping cart, gather your family and friends and get down to Eastern Market for a great day of shopping and finally a breath of fresh spring air!

Since 1891, Detroit's Eastern Market has been home to an amazing community of farmers, merchants, food lovers and residents.

On any given Saturday, more than 39,000 Detroiters, suburbanites and tourists shop the market, looking for things from fresh fruits and veggies to home-made jams, apple cider and flowers. 

Eastern Market-Detroit is located between Gratiot and Mack, bordered by St. Aubin and the I-75 service drive -- just northeast of downtown Detroit.

The Market is open on Saturdays from 5:00 am until 5:00 pm.
